Easter Egg Hunt

It's been years if not decades since we've spent Easter at home or even in Germany.  We had an exchange arranged with a family near Paris, but we had to postpone it at the last minute because our exchange partner had to have an emergency knee operation and his leg was in a brace.  No big problem.  Paris isn't so far away and there were no tickets or reservations involved.  When Lee and Tony heard we would be around they invited us to spend Easter with them and enjoy the boys' Easter egg hunt.

One reason we like to travel at Easter is that the weather is often much better in other parts of the world.  This year was no exception.  It started raining (again) on Saturday evening when we drove to Lee's and it rained all night and all day Sunday.  It had stopped here when we arrived home on Sunday evening but Lee told us it continued to rain there until the next morning.

Of course, the weather didn't keep the Easter bunny away.  He just hid his eggs inside the house instead of outside.  The boys really enjoyed looking for everything.  It's a little like playing hide and seek.

And they managed to find quite a few things.

While Max went to his room to listen to his new cassettes Alex had to try out his pocket knife and fork that he got for his camping trips with his father and a little later his new puzzle with lots of dinosaurs.

In the meantime Tony was in the kitchen preparing our feast.

First he put together our vegetable dish.

Then he prepared the rack of lamb.

He made a delicious appetizer with his own bread with tomatoes and lamb fillet.

The main course was just as good.  These pictures are making me hungry!

The boys enjoyed the meal too!
